What we do in homes
Five things, all done by the same team
No subcontracting, no "the plasterer comes next week". The people who build the frame board it, skim it and tidy up.
Media walls
Recessed TV, inset electric fire, shelved alcoves and LED lighting, framed, boarded and skimmed ready to paint.
Plastering & skimming
Reskims over tired or Artex ceilings, plasterboard and skim, patch repairs and full rooms.
New walls & ceilings
Stud walls to split a room or add a bedroom, new plasterboard ceilings, replacing old lath and plaster.
Loft insulation & boarding
Insulation topped up to 270mm and boarding raised on loft legs so the insulation still works.
Small shop fit outs
Partitions, ceilings and plastering for shops, salons, cafés and small units, done between the lease dates.

The difference is who turns up
Most domestic plastering is done by one person with a van. PAT Partitions is a dry lining subcontractor working for national main contractors, with fixers who are inspected by clerks of works and site managers every day. Bringing that into a house means a few things you'll notice.
- Straight and square. Commercial walls are checked with a straight edge and a level, because somebody is paid to check them. Ours are built the same way in your living room.
- Proper materials. British Gypsum, Siniat and Knauf board and plaster, the same systems specified on hospitals, not whatever was cheapest at the merchant.
- A fixed price. We quote from a measured scope, so the price you get is the price you pay unless you change the job.
- Clean site. Floors sheeted, dust sheets up, rubbish gone when we leave. It's how we work on site and it's how we work in your house.
How it works
From first call to paint ready in four steps
Tell us about the job
Ring or send the form with a few photos and rough sizes. Paul will ask the questions that matter and tell you straight away if it's something we do.
Fixed price quote
Smaller jobs are priced from photos. Whole rooms and media walls get a visit so we can measure and check the walls. Either way you get a written price with what's included.
Booked and done
We agree a start date and stick to it. Most single room jobs take one to three days. The room is sheeted before we start and cleared before we leave.
Ready to decorate
Fresh plaster needs to dry out, usually a week or so depending on the room, then it's a mist coat and you're painting. We'll tell you exactly when.

Questions people ask before booking
Do you do small jobs, or only big ones?
Both. Most of our work is large commercial contracts, but we take on domestic jobs from a single room skim upwards. A small job gets the same fixers and the same finish as a hospital corridor.
How do I get a price?
Ring 07838 225959 or use the form above. For most plastering and media wall jobs Paul can give you a price from photos and measurements. Anything structural, or a whole room, gets a visit first. Quotes are fixed price and free.
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Kings Norton, Birmingham, and cover Birmingham, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Bromsgrove, Redditch, Halesowen, Stourbridge, Lichfield and the wider West Midlands.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry public liability and employers liability insurance, and every fixer holds a CSCS card. Certificates are available on request.
Do I need to move furniture?
Clear what you can, especially anything fragile. We'll move the rest into the middle of the room and sheet it. Plastering is a wet, dusty trade for a couple of days, so if you can empty the room it makes the job quicker and cleaner.
