Shop, salon and small unit fit outs
Partitions, ceilings and plastering for units too small for a main contractor and too important to trust to a handyman. We do this work on national retail and healthcare contracts; for a single shop it's the same team, a shorter programme and a price you get in days, not weeks.
What we do in a small unit
Most small fit outs need the same four things: walls to divide the space, a ceiling to hide the services and take the lights, some boxing in, and plaster on everything so the decorator can start. That's our trade. We turn up with the materials, build to the drawing or to a sketch on the back of the lease, and hand over a shell that's ready for flooring, electrics second fix and paint.
- Partitions. Metal stud walls for treatment rooms, consulting rooms, stock rooms, staff areas and back of house. Fire rated and acoustic where the landlord or building control asks for it.
- Ceilings. Suspended grid ceilings with lay in tiles for quick access to services, or plasterboard MF ceilings where you want a clean flat finish.
- Boxing in and bulkheads. Ducts, pipes, steels and cable trays boxed in and plastered.
- Plastering. Skim throughout, or tape and joint for a fast paint ready finish on a tight programme.
- Feature walls. Slatted, panelled or shaped walls behind a counter or reception, framed and finished.

How it runs

Send the floor plan or a sketch with sizes and photos of the unit. Paul will visit if it needs measuring, and you'll have a written fixed price within a few days with a start date we can hold.

A drawing is ideal. A sketch with sizes and photos is enough for most units.
Fixed price and programme
Itemised so you can see what each wall and ceiling costs, with a start and finish date.
Build
Partitions and ceilings first, boxing in, then plaster. Evenings and weekends if you're trading.
Handover
Ready for flooring, electrical second fix and decoration. System data sheets provided if your landlord wants them.
Fit out questions
How small a unit will you take on?
There's no minimum. A single treatment room partition in a salon is fine. Our commercial side handles packages from £50,000 upwards; this page is for everything under that.
Can you work around my opening hours?
Yes. Evenings, weekends and phased work so you can keep trading are all normal for us. We do it on live hospital wards, so a shop that closes at six is straightforward.
Do you handle fire and building regulations?
We build partitions and ceilings to the fire and acoustic ratings your landlord, insurer or building control asks for, using certified British Gypsum, Siniat or Knauf systems, and we can provide the system data sheets. Getting the approvals is your architect's or landlord's job; building to them is ours.
Do you do the electrics, flooring and decorating?
No. We do the walls, ceilings and plaster and we coordinate with your electrician so the first fix goes in before we close the walls. If you don't have other trades lined up we can recommend people we work alongside.
